One Too Many - A Hidden Gem!

By Kiran - 03:03

You know your happiness has no bounds when you get to review your favourite restaurant in the city!
The "hidden treasure" located inside Tunga Regenza - Yes, I'm talking about the very plush 'One Too Many' (hereafter OTM).

Although I've been to OTM before, I had a good impression about its food but experienced bad service.
But let me assure you that after the last visit, my perception towards OTM has completely changed.
I was here for a menu tasting session along with a friend. We were welcomed with warm smiles by Mr. Raj, F&B manager at OTM.
Soon after settling down on our seats we were served with their specially made cocktails and a few nibbles, which we Mumbaikars call it "Chakna" with sheer pride.

On Fire
'On Fire' is a Tikini made of single malt, fresh lemon juice, cane syrup and campari. It has a sweetish sour kind of taste, which will rejuvenate and set up your mood for a party!

On Fire

'Dry Smoked Rickey', a deconstructed cocktail which is made from dark rum, apple peach and mixed herb smoke. It gets even more fancier, as they get the ingredients at your table and make the drink in front of you.

Along with these drinks, we were then served a round of mouthwatering starters viz. Prawns pepper butter garlic, Mutton Gilafi Seekh kebabs, Drums of Heaven, and Fish Tawa fry.

Out of these I personally loved  Mutton Gilafi Seekh kebabs the most, and would undoubtedly recommend it to all.

Then came in the Jaggerbomb with a twist. We called for jaggermister with beer instead of Redbull. And that was a terrific combination!

Though already feeling a little tipsy, to our surprise a round of flaming shots had been lined up for us. And that did not disappoint!
'Flaming Lamborghini', an exclusively crafted cocktail amongst their shooters section is made from Sambuca, coffee liquor and baileys. Having this drink was the best decision ever I've taken in a while! :D

OTM has an extensive menu which serves various Indian and International cuisines.
For those who aren't aware, OTM  serves lip smacking Pizzas which are of an unbeatable variety and toppings.

I ordered for a Quattro Formaggi Pizza.
The term 'Quattro Formaggi' means a four cheese pizza in Italian.
This wholesome pizza is loaded with Cheddar, Parmesan, Mozzarella and the regular processed cheese.
Although it is a veg pizza originally, you can still pick toppings of your choice.

In the picture above, I requested the chef to add chunks of chicken tandoori. So my modified version of Quattro Formaggi tasted so well with four thick layers of cheese. The base was crunchy, while the toppings made it creamier and delicious!

The next entrรฉe we sampled was 'Laccha Paratha Paneer Tacos'.
An impressive attempt to recreate the same old Tacos, but with a desi twist! Malabar paratha with Paneer and vegetables was quite filling and flavorsome.

After all the amazing food and drinks, there was barely a tad bit space left in our tummies for desserts.
Hence we were recommended a Vanilla Crรจme Brรปlรฉe, a dish made of catalan cream topped with hard layers of caramel.
I absolutely loved how the caramel layers were so crunchy and scrumptious. This was indeed a sweet ending to our meal!

TBH, I love this place not only for the food but also its ambience, music and hospitality.
The super friendly staff at OTM will make sure that you're comfortable in every possible way and serve you the best what they can.
A special thanks Mr. Jugal for being our host for the evening.

Though OTM seems expensive, but a 3 course meal for two shouldn't cost more than 1500 bucks.

My overall verdict for One Too Many is 5/ 5.
