Here’s presenting you all Burgundy Box, an initiative by Chef Ajay Chopra, Vivek Mehra, Sandip Singh and Shabnam Mehra.
This era of high technology has completely surrounded us and how could the most essential need of our life – FOOD, remain untouched?
Hence, Burgundy Box is here to provide you with easy, ready to cook meals at your door step.
Today I got the opportunity to try their “Egg Chettinad Curry” meal.
A delivery person from their team got this cute looking box delivered at my doorstep, sometime back.
How perfectly the saying, “Happiness is homemade” gets along with their food. Nothing can beat homemade food. Wouldn’t you all agree with them on this? 🙂
As I opened the box, it was such a delight to see all the ingredients packed so neatly. All of them appeared so fresh, as if they were just bought from the market. 🙂

Apart from these, there was also a pamphlet on which the recipe for Egg Chettinad had been printed step by step.
Step by step recipe
These recipes generally take a minimum 1 hour to get cooked, but Burgundy Box just made it a lot more easier as this dish was prepared in flat 15 minutes.
So if you’re an amateur and aspire to cook, try these Burgundy Box meals. And BAM! Everyone get flattered by your culinary skills, trust me! 😉
Egg Chettinad Curry
By following the steps mentioned above, I finally succeeded in making Egg Chettinad. 🙂
The color and texture of the gravy looked so inviting, difficult to resist..
Egg Chettinad with Whole Wheat Paranthas
Apart from the gravy, there was a packet of Whole Wheat Paranthas too. All I had to do was, roast them on a griddle for a minute each side till done. I also added a little butter to make them crisper.
And finally, lunch was ready to be served!! 🙂
According to me, each and every ingredient of the curry was perfect in proportion and flavorsome. The Paranthas and Egg Curry made a great pair. Indeed an afternoon well spent with great food! 🙂
The overall rating for Burgundy Box would be 9/10 .
This review would not have been possible without the help of team Burgundy Box.
Also, many thanks to Maitri Shah for the coordination.
